Invest in Me UK Ltd is the brainchild of Caroline Hicks. A teacher by profession, she has always been an innovator, on a daily basis, thinking up great ways to introduce learning in a new and exciting way to her pupils.
However reinventing the wheel constantly, to achieve the same goal for changing employers and government departments, can become tedious eventually and so she decided to use her talents in a different way.(There are many parallels with the business world: mentoring, target setting, managing budgets to name but a few!)
As well as investinmeuk.com she now owns and runs a 14 acre smallholding in Herefordshire, runs a cleaning services company with her partner, as well as continuing to teach on a supply basis.
In her own researches, it had become clear that some businesses have such a Corporate face that people with good sound ideas were put off very quickly when thinking of applying to get a project off the ground. What was needed was a more approachable place for lots of good advice and help to point them in the right direction, whether looking for finance or for new places/people to invest in.
This is what we believe we offer at investinmeuk.com We don't have financial backgrounds and are not regulated by the FSA or make claims that we can do miracles but we do have a friendly and accessible face and work to high ethical standards.
As this site grows we hope that the people who use it will use their experiences, through contributions to our forums, to help others realise their goals too.
There is no substitute for hard work but encouragement and constructive help is what this site is about!
